What if Claude could be your personal trainer? For me it is, and it changed how I train.
In April 2026 I threw out my knee. 200 pound squats, 6 sets of 12, on an already tough leg day. Two days later I couldn't walk without pain. Stairs were so painful I had to grab the handrails and hop.
By the end of summer my knee was healed, I'd hit a PR in nearly every training block, and the workout writing and tracking that used to take me hours now runs itself.
How? First, no heavy squats for awhile ๐
More importantly, I spent nights and weekends building a system of six autonomous agents that program my training based on historical records and send me a recommended workout every evening. Built on my actual training history, rules enforced in code, all running on my existing Claude subscription.
It broke a lot before it got good. One API call got stuck in a retry loop burning all my credits on the same failed request. It'd hallucinate PRs I never hit and machines that don't exist. Each failure turned into a guardrail: API spend caps, a grounding "Athlete File" about who I actually am and how I train, and code that reviews every plan for accuracy before it hits my phone.
My biggest lesson: agents fail often, silently, and expensively until you build them to fail loud and cheap.
My journey to a second century and a 225 lift continues.
